So, Guys Welcome Ketchup! and DelSheree
I’m so glad S211n3 asked for a character interview with
Ketchup, not only because he’s everyone’s favorite book boyfriend, but because
I’d like to share some of the crazy conversations we have with each other
inside my head!
So, here we go. Ten random questions with Ketchup!
1. If
you were granted three wishes, what would you ask for?
Lifetime supply of Ketchup
(of course), lock picks that are easy to hide, and a really fast car.
2. What
three things would you take to a Desert Island?
Van (does she count as a thing?), knives (for more than one reason), and something capable
of playing music so I can watch Van dance.
3. When
you walk into a room, what do you expect people to notice about you?
That fact that I’m a dead ringer for Superman, of course.
I’m talking Man of Steel, not so much
the old 50s TV show. Okay, maybe I’m not quite as built as Henry Cavill is in
the movie, but I’m pretty sure I’m close.
4. What
do you wish your special talent was?
Uh, is this on the record? Let’s just say it’s not and
remember I’ll plead the Fifth if anyone asks. My special talents involve lock
picks and a little B&E. Not for any nefarious purposes…most of the time.
Ivy’s garage was totally called for.
5. If
you could be an animal, what would it be?
Monkey. Definitely a monkey. They get away with
everything!
6. What
is your favorite journey?
I don’t know that I’d call going to the Godling compound
my favorite journey, but it got me
two weeks with Van, and watching Godlings train is freaky, but
awesome!
7. Where
would you like to live?
Smack dab in the middle of a huge city. You can be
totally anonymous without having to hole yourself up like a hermit. Plus, I’d
never run out of interesting, if not so much legal, things to do. Gotta keep
those skills sharp, right?
8. On
what occasions do you lie?
When Van or her family are involved. Talk about skeletons
in the closet. Not literally…I think. Well, it might depend on who we’re
talking about.
9. How
would you like to die?
Defending someone. Van most likely. I find myself doing
that quite frequently. I could settle for going out in a heroic blaze of glory,
though. Yeah, I think I’d be okay with that.
10. If
you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would
be?
Could I come back as someone who’s perpetually five years
old? Wouldn’t that be great? Everything is new and monsters are just pretend.
You’d never have to grow up and realize all those scary noises and monsters
under the bed are actually real and trying to kill you.

About the Author
DelSheree Gladden was one of those shy, quiet kids who spent more time reading than talking. Literally. She didn't speak a single word for the first three months of preschool, but she had already taught herself to read. Her fascination with reading led to many hours spent in the library and bookstores, and eventually to writing. She wrote her first novel when she was sixteen years old, but spent ten years rewriting and perfecting it before having it published.
Native to New Mexico, DelSheree and her husband spent several years in Colorado for college and work before moving back home to be near family again. Their two children love having their cousins close by. When not writing, you can find DelSheree reading, painting, sewing and trying not to get bitten by small children in her work as a dental hygienist. DelSheree has several bestselling young adult series, including "Invisible" which was part of the USA Today Bestselling box set, "Pandora." The Date Shark Series is her first contemporary romance series.
